Low batteries are the most common cause of breakdowns at this point in the year, so don’t become part of the statistic; it’s as simple as keeping yourself aware! If you have a battery in excess of 5 years old then you could be in for trouble if you don’t give yourself a contingency plan and get it fixed.

When checking your tyres it’s important to consider everything from their pressure to their condition and tread depth. As well as checking the state of your current tyres, it is important to make sure that you have a spare set before the chillier climate decides to fully rear its head.
When completing all of the above, make sure you consider to stock your car up with all the essentials that will keep your trusty steed going throughout the colder months; de-icer, windscreen liquid, tow rope, etc. You certainly don’t want to get caught out in the big wide open without the basics.
