Cars We Wished Existed: Wacky Races

car body repairs, General No Comments

Growing up we’ve been inspired and awed by the cars of the TV world. Stunning in their sleek, shiny bodies and unique in their comical functions, there have been some crazy cars we really wish existed. Specialising in mobile car body repairs in Wimbledon, it would be so cool to work on some of these wacky creations!

The Mean Machine

The Wacky Races gave us some beautifully creative machines to wonder at. As children we were often amazed such crazy cars fought against each other, as adults we questioned just how on earth such machines could possibly exist. The Mean Machine, however, driven by our beloved villain Dick Dastardly and his sidekick Muttley, has to be the sleekest car in the wacky races.

The Mean Machine, with its booster engines bunched around the rear of the vehicle and its sharp fins giving the machine a deadly aquatic look,  was definitely created with a villain in mind, and Dick Dastardly and his sniggering mutt took to the challenge beautifully. We figure, if the car really existed, that it wouldn’t be the sleek fins we’d have fun repairing, it would be working around the numerous concealed weapons!

The Compact Pussycat

Snugly placed at the centre of the games sits the beautiful Penelope Pitstop and her all out pink and custard yellow car, The Compact Pussycat.

Slender, frilly and sporting a charming sun umbrella, this particular wacky car was purely created with glitz and glamour in mind. Almost every young girl of the era adored this pretty car and, if it were real, it would be a great honour and so much fun to add to the glamour and style of “the Glamour Gal of the Gas Pedal”.

The Army Surplus Special

A brute of a car is our next dream. Not merely because of the comical Sergeant Blast and his sidekick, Private Meekly, but because it would be super exciting to figure out exactly how a bulking tank could move with a small steam roller at its front!

Equipped with a number of grenades and cannon which can spin backwards and forwards to fire which, obviously, gives them extra speed, it’ll be so cool to work on a model of such a wacky vehicle!

Until the designers and engineers of the world create these crazy and utterly unique body works, it looks like we’ll just carry on fantasising. In the meantime, no job is too big or too small for us to handle, so if you need any body repairs done on your wacky vehicle, don’t hesitate to contact us today on 07732 542500.
